Malignant fibrous histiocytoma is the most common soft tissue sarcoma in adult life and shows a mixed proliferation of both fibroblastic and histiocytic cells. Because of its highly variable morphologic pattern, this tumor has often been confused
with
other sarcomas such as pleomorphic rhabdomyosarcoma and liposarcoma.
